Excavation: Cairn Reain, North Yarrow, Caithness ...

25 August 2016

Cairn Reain, North Yarrow, Caithness Wednesday 24th August to Sunday 28th August: Community Excavation. Although the monument was thought by Anderson to be a Neolithic Chambered Cairn, it is likely that it is actually a Broch; the excavation hopes to resolve this issue. Those interested should book a place by e-mail anderson-archaeology@yahoo.co.uk or phone 07861 235761. No previous experience is required. You can follow events on the Yarrow Heritage Trust Website.
